So as you all probably know by now we reopened on the 4th July bright and early. And wow what a month its been!
As you can see Jack and I were fully prepared!
We’ve had so much happening this month we thought we’d give you a bit of a debrief. We made a few difficult decisions based on the advice we had been given by
Ahead of salons reopening, The National Hair and Beauty Federation had advised its members to “avoid face-to-face discussions with clients. Discussions about cut, colour and treatments should be made via the mirror while standing behind the client and kept to a minimum.
Before reopening, each hairdresser would have had to carry out an appropriate COVID-19 risk assessment. Failure to comply could “constitute a criminal offence, with serious fines and even imprisonment for up to two years,” the guidelines note.
Here at Elesse we have taken the decision NOT to offer blowdry’s at the moment. It has been suggested that hairdryers blast air particles freely around the salons and it could compromise the safety of the space. The British guidelines haven’t suggested blow-dries be taken off the menu but we think its better to be safe than sorry! We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but are pleased that the majority of our customers agree with our decision.
