We are literally so excited that we’re able to do Wedding Hair properly again. The last two years have been miserable and one of the most rewarding aspects of our job is to help a bride look her best on her big day. To say we’ve missed it is an understatement!
But everything is thankfully returning to some kind of normality and we’ve loved the last few weeks as Wedding Season well and truly has taken over!

As the micro-wedding becomes more and more popular, so do more ‘undone’ hair styles – as seen on Megan Markle during her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. Think ethereal, pretty waves swept up in big buns and multi-layered styles. The surprisingly simple method to achieve this beautiful natural look is taking the wedding community by storm and we’re big fans.

Channel your inner mermaid with the new season’s penchant for heavenly, Hollywood-glamour waves set to continue into 2022. We love this paired with a vintage-style gown to perfectly complement your A List look.

Although chic, understated and classic, a voluminous, textured ponytail is still capable of causing quite the stir and is likely to be a big trend for 2022. It’s always been one of our favourite bridal looks here at Elesse! A ponytail is elegant and sophisticated, but can still make a big statement.

Since 2020 – and much of 2021 – saw us not being able to visit hairdressers, amongst other things, this is a trend which went viral as people embraced their naturally curly hair. As brides continue to seek unusual venues, elope or go micro, the BOHO bride vibe is here to stay. This beautiful hairstyle is perfect for a beach or barn wedding and will be seen on brides everywhere as they tie the knot in 2022 and we have to admit we’re big fans of this look!

From Bridgerton to The Crown, Netflix have a lot to answer for when it comes to 2022’s fashion-forward wedding hairstyles, which will have a Regency-era sense of glamour about them. A well-placed headpiece can do wonders to transform your big-day look and we’re seeing many more wedding hair accessories for hair-down styles too!
